For many people Washington DC is all about the Smithsonian and its massive collection of historical items.  But many other visitors its about the memorials that fill the northern end of the National Mall.  All maintained by the National Park Service.

Admission is free and several of the memorials have adjacent limited parking.

  • Washington Memorial

To manage the waiting queue to enter the Washington Memorial, tickets are issued.  They are available fee of charge at the memorial’s visitor booth.  Tickets can be ordered in advance on line, and there is a “nonrefundable service fee” charged.
