NSL 2022 will use be using two host hotels in order to provide adequate booking opportunities.

Comfort Suites

When making your reservation, tell the hotel representative you are part of  the  “National Association of Rocketry” group room block. The “National Association of Rocketry” group room block runs from 5/27 to 5/30/2022. The “National Association of Rocketry” Group room rate will be applicable three (3) days prior and three (3) days after the Group room block dates stated on a space available basis. Provided the Hotel has any room availability, the Group room rate will be honored.

Single King or double Queen bed rooms are: $109.00/night plus tax (12% per room, per night.) Friday thru Monday, 5/27 -5/30.

Free WiFi in guestrooms and complimentary breakfast is provided.

Reservations need to be made before the cut-off  date of May 4, 2022. Reservation requests after the cut-off date will be accepted at the Group guest room rates set forth above on a last room in category availability basis OR space available basis.

Single King or double Queen bed rooms are:

  • $155.00/night plus tax for Friday, 5/27 and Saturday, 5/28;
  • $125.00/night plus tax for Sunday, 5/29;
  • $105/night plus tax for Monday, 5/30. (Tax is 12% per room, per night.).

Free WiFi in guestrooms and complimentary breakfast is provided. Reservations can also be made by calling 1-800-HILTONS. Room block name is, “2022 National Association of Rocketry Sport Launch.” The 2022 National Association of Rocketry Sport Launch group room block runs from 5/27 to 5/31/2022.

The  NAR Group room rate will be applicable three (3) days prior and three (3) days after the Group room block dates stated on a space available basis. Provided the Hotel has any room availability, the Group room rate will be honored.

Reservations need to be made before the cut-off  date of April 27, 2022. Reservation requests after the cut-off date will be accepted at the Group guest room rates set forth above on a last room in category availability basis OR space available basis.

 

Nearby Lodging Options

There are several hotel and motel options nearby the NSL host hotels with similar amenities. Most all are within 20 minutes or less of the flying site. Compared to the NSL host hotels, all will cost more per room or have no available rooms given there is a NASCAR race in Charlottesville on Memorial Day weekend as well.

Camping 

Camping is not permitted on the launch site, however, the following sites have camping slots available. If you are reserving a space, call early.

  1. Lee State Park (closest)
  2. Poinsett State Park (no sewer hookups)
  3. Palmetto Shores RV Park (nice, but an hour away)
  4. Santee KOA ( hour away)
  5. Santee State Park (hour away, no sewer hookups)
  6. If military, there’s one at:
    1. Shaw AFB
    2. Ft. Jackson
