vNARCON—Attendee Information

Hello and welcome to vNARCON 2021!  Thank you for registering for this exciting event. The latest news regarding vNARCON will always be posted here.

Latest Updates

  • Steve Jurvetson is the Saturday night keynote speaker (1.18.21)
  • Importation of Ical invites has been fixed, see issue below. (1.18.21)
  • All vNARCON sessions will be recorded. We will upload the recordings to the NAR Youtube channel after vNARCON. (1.11.21)
  • All sessions will start at the times shown on the website. The sessions are listed in Central Standard Time. Please use the time shown on the web page and in the subject line of the email invitation. Don’t use an Ical invitation, it can inaccurately show start and end times. (1.4.21)
  • We have added sessions to Friday afternoon! Check out the schedule for the latest updates. (12/22/20)
  • Registration continues through January 29, 2020.
  • Both NAR members and non-members may attend vNARCON. If you are a non-member, simply enter three 0’s for your NAR number when purchasing tickets.
General
  • When you registered, you used an email address and created a password. Don’t forget your password! You will need it to sign in, create a schedule of the sessions you’re attending, and attend the event.
  • Make sure to add the dates and times of vNARCON to your calendar.
  • Sessions begin at the top of the hour.
  • Be sure to create a schedule of sessions by selecting the “Agenda” tab that appears on front page after you login. Under Agenda, you can view what sessions are available for you to attend by selecting “All Days” or a specific day. Selecting  “All Days” and “All Sessions” will show you ALL the sessions throughout the three days of vNARCON. Otherwise, choose a day to see what sessions are available on a specific day.
  • You add a session to your schedule by selecting the “Register” button in the upper right-hand corner of a session. Once selected, it will say “Attending.” All sessions you select to attend will then be listed and shown when you select the “My Sessions” button.
  • You can make changes to your list of scheduled sessions at any time. Select the “My Sessions” button to see what sessions you selected. To drop a session, simply click on the “Attending” button and the session will no longer show in your schedule. Return to “All Sessions” or a specific day to add a different session. You can even change sessions in the middle of watching a session using the aforementioned process.
What To Do Once vNARCON Goes Live-
  • Take a look at the front page of the vNARCON site and familiarize yourself with the menu items that are available in the left hand BLUE column.
  • You will see listed- Lobby, Stage, Sessions, Lounges, Expo, and People.
  • The Lobby is your access point to all your activities. Here you can edit what sessions you are attending.
  • The, “Stage,” is where you find Tours, Keynotes, Social events, and the Town Hall.  When nothing is going on within the, “Sessions,” there is something going on at the, “Stage” and vice versa.
  • Within the, “Sessions,” tab. Look for the left and right arrows for each time slot.
  • All sessions are set for 55 minutes with a 5-10 minute Q&A .
  • Session can go long and not interfere with another session.
  • The, “Lounge,” tab allows rocket enthusiasts access to four unique lounges in which to congregate and visit with one another. There are no designated topics for the lounges. Pick one and yak.
  • The “Expo” button gains access to a list of all the manufacturers attending. It allows you to connect with them as well via chat or link over their website (if a link is shown).
  • The, “People” tab is another handy way to connect with fellow attendees. Under an attendee’s Photo, select the “Connect” button if you want to create a video connection with another attendee. Select the “Talk” bubble button to open up a chat window with that person on the right-hand side of the screen.
