ActivitiesNew England Sci-Tech (NEST) has started Sci-Tech Rocketeers, a model rocketry club where kids and adults of all ages can learn to design, build, and fly model rockets. The club is open to adult members, as well as children ages 13 up. Younger children may participate with parent supervision or when enrolled in a workshop where rocketry is taught as an activity.
LaunchesLaunches will be scheduled on weekends as often as possible at a ball field in a nearby town. CMASS has graciously allowed us to join in some of their launches. (We are still negotiating with Natick for use of a field there.)
HPRWe are not currently planning to do high power.
MeetingsSTR members will meet officially at NEST on Fridays, 6:30-8:00 pm, and/or Sundays 1:00–3:00 pm, whichever best fits everyone’s schedule. Other unofficial times may be scheduled to meet or launch rockets. Club coordinators may include NEST staff, adult club members, and high school or college age helpers who have rocketry experience. Parents are encouraged to participate. Official business meetings are once a month or called when needed. Other meeting times are for building, painting, designing, learning. Occasional guest speakers will present information about a topic. New England Sci-Tech (NEST), 16 Tech Circle, Natick, MA 01760
