Register 2425 Youth Rocketry (Beginner) Session II Fall – 2015
Description: Build a rocket from the bottom up and launch it! This class is an entry level model rocket program for parents and kids. This class is co-sponsored by Big Valley Hobby Town and the San Luis Valley Rocketeers.
Participants will:
– Learn the model rocketry code
– Learn how a rocket launches, operates and flies
– Construct a model rocket including sanding, gluing and painting
– Learn to calculate altitude
– Launch and recover their own rocket
Rocket supplies are included in the class fee. Participants will need to bring a small collection of supplies such as tape, scissors, etc. Ages 6 – 8 must be accompanied by an adult.
Class Sessions are Monday, Wednesday and Friday 6:30 – 7:30pm in the AFRC Children’s Room.
Launch day is Saturday, October 24th at 9am at the new SLV Rocketeers range.
