VAST Monthly Sport Launch

This is a “Free-Fly” event (no launch fees) so come on out, enjoy the beautiful drive and surrounding scenery, and launch some rockets! This is not a huge site so please plan your rocket/motor choices appropriately. As long as you don’t fly too high and/or you use dual deployment, it’s easy to launch just about any size rocket and keep its recovery on the field. NAR Level 1 & Level 2 High Power Certification can be performed with advance notification (email vastinfo@valleyaerospace.com). We will not have a motor vendor on site so please plan accordingly. Porta-potty on site. After the range closes, feel free to join us in Monterey for a nice meal and additional socializing. All of this is of course weather permitting with the final go/no-go decision being made the Friday before by 8:00 pm (it takes a pretty nasty forecast for VAST to cancel a launch). Check the launch status on VAST’s website before heading to the field.
