MTMA 25th Anniversary Launch

MTMA had its first launch 25 years ago on May 16, 1999. We are celebrating MTMA’s 25th Anniversary with a launch and cookout. This is not a high power launch. This will be our fourth themed event where we offer prizes and giveaways.

In addition to our 25th Anniversary activities, we are available to time your practice flights for the WSMC US Team Qualification process.  All NRC Events may also be flown.

Contest Events will be:

F-engine Star Orbiter altitude
Use an F engine to fly a stock Estes Star Orbiter to the highest altitude, and get it back. You will need to supply your own altimeter.

C-engine Big Bertha Duration
Back by popular demand! Put a big honkin’ chute in a stock Big Bertha kit and see who stays up in the air the longest.

Baby Bertha Kit Bash
What is it with the Berthas? Using only the contents of an Estes Baby Bertha kit, build and fly something different. Models will be judged for creativity, craftsmanship, and flight.

Open Spot Landing
Safely land you rocket closest to a predetermined target.

Prizes will include Aerotech reloadable motor cases, Aerotech and Estes kits, altimeters, and more good loot. There will be door prizes for attendance too, but the good stuff is for participants! That’s life!
