Mid-South Rocket Society Sport Launch

Our fun event is Valentine themed! Bring and fly your Valentine themed model rockets! A door prize (beginner’s model rocket kit) is awarded to a random spectator (non-flyer) as well as a door prize for fliers (yep, a model rocket kit!) The more flights you make, the better your chances of winning! MSRS launches are conducted with an FAA approved altitude waiver of 6,000 feet MSL (5,700 feet from ground level). The section maximum permitted motor size is a “J” motor, unless approval is received two weeks prior to the scheduled launch from the Section President for use of a larger motor.
