CanAm Cup 2023 NRC
An FAI-Sanctioned World Cup Spacemodeling
Competition
May 26-29. 2023
Muncie, Indiana, USA

World Cup Events: S4A, S6A, S7, S8P, S9A

Open International Events: S1B, S3A, S2/P

Contest Rules: Contestants must have an FAI license (from any NAC). NAR MEMBERS MAY PARTICIPATE.

Entry Fee: $40, payable at registration.

Flying Site: National Model Aviation Museum AMA Flying Site #1. Toilet facilities are available on site. Water and lunch will be available for purchase on site.

Hotel: Muncie Marriott Inn and Convention Center. A block of rooms has been reserved at a discounted rate of $159 for Friday May 26 through Monday May 29, 2023. Registration details will be detailed in upcoming bulletins.

Preregistration is strongly encouraged. Please email the contest director. Online registration closes May 18, 2023

Muncie is located 1.5 h from Indianapolis International Airport, 2.5 h from Columbus International Airport, 3.5 h from Detroit International Airport and 4 h from Chicago O’Hare International Airport

Motors will be provided to contestants at the meet for S1B, S3A, S4A, S6A, S9A and S8P. The motors provided will be: A10-0t, A3-2t, A3-4t, A3-6t, and E7 for S8E/P.

Motors for S2/P and S7 must be NAR contest certified and must contain no more than 30gm of propellant. If you need to ship motors, you may ship them to the Contest Director.

Adrel altimeters are required for S2/P and will be available for rental with a $80 deposit refundable upon return.

Please note the new FAI rule for S3, S6 and S9 that states recovery wadding and plugs must stay with the model, or it will be disqualified. Floating head pistons are no longer legal as well. NO pistons are allowed for S1B

The meet is registered as an NRC event.
