Artesia is a 1.5-wide dry lakebed, also known as a playa. Rockets seldom land outside of the playa and can be retrieved by car – LONG HIKES ARE NOT NECESSARY! In addition, the upper layer of the player is usually soft enough to prevent rocket damage. We accommodate low-power, mid-power, and HIGH POWER (L3<40lbs) rocketry. Our FAA Waiver is for 13,400 feet. We have wireless remote-control launch pad equipment, 6 & 8′ rail launch pads, 1/8-1/4 rod launch pads and a PA System. We can also do High Power L1 & L2 Certifications.
