ROC serves the Southern California region with monthly high power launches at Lucerne Dry Lake Bed in Lucerne Valley, CA. We are a volunteer run organization that is NAR Section #538, TRA Prefecture #48. Our monthly launches usually occur on the 2nd Saturday of the month, conditions permitting. Regular club sport launch, HPR launch, and NRC contest. Sponsored by the Fox Valley Rocketeers. While we permit flights in any NRC event, we do not supply items like eggs, payloads, or altimeters. Contestants should bring their own. We run a “Misfire Alley” range, so please bring your own pad and launch system. We do supply a single HPR pad with a 1010 launch rail and launch system for HPR flights. High Power Waiver in effect to 6,000 AGL. The field supports up to Level 2 flights. All HPR flights require preflight inspection by the RSO. We do not have a motor vendor at our launches. Please contact us in advance if you need to do an NAR Level 1 or Level 2 Certification. Sport launch open to all at Eggemeyer Field, 3 miles south of Wall, TX. We support launch of low power, mid-power, and high power rockets up to L motors. We provide launch pads with 1/8", 3/16”, and 1/4" rods and 1010 rails. Have FAA waiver up to 10,000 ft AGL. We now have a portable toilet on site. Always bring water & wear sunscreen. Launch Fees: – Low power up to G motors: Free – High power – Under 18: Free – Students 18 and over and WTSV members: $5 – All others: $10
