NARTREK Junior Intermediate (NJ2)

Welcome to the NARTREK Junior Intermediate program! The Intermediate credential will teach you safe rocket building techniques. Each credential includes a reading, building,and launching segment. Each credential builds upon and adds to the skills learned in the previous credential. Students need to complete all three segments for each credential, then submit the requirements through the website.

s each credential is completed, you will receive an Achievement Certificate.  

 


NARTREK Junior Intermediate Requirements:

Part 1—Read over the Rocket Building Techniques articleWhen you registered, you are sent an email. Follow the link within the email to take the test, your score must be 80% or better.


Part 2—
Purchase a skill level beginner rocket kit. (for example: Estes Generic E2X or Alpha III) The kit should have plastic fins. Please see the resource page for more rocket suggestions and information for this level. Read the instructions and build the model rocket. Take a picture of the model to submit.  


Part 3—
Fly and successfully recover the model rocket. The model should be flown and recovered 2 times. Use motors of no more than a “C” total impulse. 

Once you have completed the requirements and taken the test, please follow this link to complete your certification.

There are no fees, this program is a benefit of your membership and is free to all members.

To Register

1.) Go to the Members dropdown menu and choose the Continuing Education tab. 
2.) Choose the NARTREK Junior Intermediate Course, click Take Course.
3.) Follow the registration process. 
4.) Complete the course requirements listed above.
