About this event
The National Sport Launch West-2027 will be hosted by OregonRocketry in Brothers, Oregon. NSLW dates are May 28-31, 2027. There is RV and tent camping onsite, spots should be requested during pre-registration. We will have a food truck onsite, coffee service by the Scouts, a social held by one of our vendors and there is a small restaurant in the town of Brothers, two miles from the launch site.
There are many hotels in Bend, Oregon (40 miles from the site) and Prineville, Oregon (32 miles from the site). There is a sizable jet airport in Redmond, Oregon that has connections to the airports in the Western region of the US.
Our ceiling is 20,500 feet AGL and we can call in waivers to 33,000 feet. We will allow motors up to N class; however, M and N motors require advance notice to the RSO and his designees before being allowed to fly.
Folks who volunteer as FSO or LCO for two hours or more will be provided substantive rewards for their service. Finally, we will have a small ceremony recognizing the Memorial Day Remembrance.
More information will be posted as it becomes available.
