Thing to do.

Bass Pro Shops

1935 S Campbell

The granddaddy of all outdoor stores: They have a new aquarium and museum, plenty of outdoor activities, shopping and supplies. If you’re into the outdoors, this is the place to go.

Fantastic Caverns

4872 N Farm Road
Springfield, MO 35803

A ride-through cave, no, seriously it’s that big. A 55 minute round trip tour. Considering the head in southern Missouri at this time of year, the cool 60 degrees in the cavern would be a welcome break.

Laura Ingalls Wilder Home and Museum

3068 State Highway A
Mansfield, MO 65704

See where the books were written. The museum has Pa’s fiddle, Laura’s manuscripts, and many other artifacts.
