2005-2006 RCP Results
The 2005-2006 RCP process concluded at NARAM-49 and the results are listed as follows. Appendix “F” in the sporting code states that all proposals must receive a 66% vote in order to become a part of the sporting code. The proposals that did pass become a part of the sporting code immediately. I received a total of 184 ballots and some ballots did not vote for all proposals.
RCP #2005-101 Passes with 69.8% FOR [125] AGAINST [54 ]
SUMMARY: Set the Contest Factor of the National Meet to 8.
RCP #2005-102 Passes with 87.5% FOR [ 161] AGAINST [23]
SUMMARY: Change the beginning of the A Division age requirement to be the competitor's 7th birthday, not July 1. This would not affect the other divisions.
RCP # 2005-103 Fails with 22.7% FOR [33] AGAINST [144]
SUMMARY: Add the option for "Load" scoring to all applicable Duration events, wherein the score is flight time multiplied by model weight.
RCP # 2005-104 Fails with 30% FOR [54] AGAINST [126]
SUMMARY: Increase the “B” Division age bracket by 2 years.
RCP # 2005-105 Fails with 43.1% FOR [78] AGAINST [103]
SUMMARY: Allow safety certified motors to be used for craftsmanship events at contests.
RCP # 2005-106 Fails with 55% FOR [100] AGAINST [82]
BRIEF SUMMARY:
Allow the use of "approved" electronic altimeters for altitude events to those contest directors/sections that do not have or can't use theodolites needed for optical tracking
