NAR's 50th Birthday Celebration
We have an important anniversary to celebrate, the NAR's 50th birthday And
you can help us celebrate by taking an afternoon to do something I know you enjoy.
Fly some rockets!!!
We've set out a challenge to help 50,000 kids fly a rocket to commemorate our 50th anniversary. We need you to celebrate with us by sharing the fun and excitement of a rocket launch with the world's young people. What could be simpler and more fun than flying rockets with kids?
We've set up a simple form for you to collect information about your launches with young people. You can download that form and instructions by clicking here. We've also provided a sample award certificate to give to your newly minted flyers, or you can create your own version with appropriate recognition of your local club, or other sponsor. After your launch, you can report results by using the "Fly 50,000 for our 50th" Launch Reporting Form."
As this program progresses, we'll be reporting results in our publications and at the NAR website. Check out the "Fly 50,000 for our 50th" Results Page" and watch the total grow, with your help, toward 50K. This program was originally intended to end at NARAM-50 in 2008, but it has proved so popular with the kids who get these certificates that we have extended it. Plus we still need to reach our 50K goal!
I hope you can help us reach this important goal, and can guarantee it'll be fun for you and the kids. There is no better way to celebrate our past than by helping to build our future!
